Day 2 Session 4

What another exciting day of camp we had today! Nothing could stop these campers...not even the rain and humidity! The bad weather of the afternoon cleared up the humidity which made perfect weather for evening program...The All Star Hockey Challenge!!! The night was a huge hit! The pavilion was made into the best hockey arena AV has yet to see! The campers gave a valiant effort against the counselors who won 5-3. Our fans cheered on their fellow campers and enjoyed the festivities of an All Star game which also included...Snow Cones!!! All in all, the night was a big hit for ROUND THREE of AV's All Star Hockey Game! What a great way to end the All Star Hockey challenge for the summer! Campers headed off to bed to get a good night’s sleep for Divine Liturgy and PICTURE DAY tomorrow!

Here is a great way to explain what Church is like when you’re a camper at the Antiochian Village, written by one of our campers Hannah!

“Church: One room. Four walls. 300 people smashed together with one goal. To an outsider the scene is hardly a jubilee but to be in that room, at that moment, there is only God, and all the people. Walls melt away. When 300 people join together in song, there are no words, no pitch, no tune, only God and the people. A half of an hour is a sitcom, a shower, a commute. But half an hour here is life changing. Utter, complete and life changing perfection. “
