Today was a day like any other arrival day, with the exception that this was fourth session! THROW UP THOSE FOURS (as Alex Ghannam would say)!!! Buses rolled in from Livonia to Little Falls! The counselors revved themselves up in the staff lounge by singing and embracing our summer theme of The Show. “Show me Service, Show me Humility, Show me Obedience, Show me Work. Show God’s Love.” Moments later, the staff burst through the front door to greet the waiting campers and their families. You would have thought by their enthusiasm that this was their first and only session. The afternoon was filled with smiles, hugs and joyful tears as campers became reacquainted with one another. Some of the sweetest words to the ears of our staff are “Name, You’ve got a camper!” After a delicious dinner prepared by our chefs Russell and Aunt Sadie, our brother and sister cabins engaged in Ice Breakers. After getting to know one another, they were officially introduced to our staff. Because this is fourth session, campers Dabked during their hang out time! Campers headed back to their cabins to settle in for the night and for the session to await the excitement of tomorrow—the first full day of camp!!
